Stone Island and Old Town Sightseeing Tour
Your Stone Island Tour begins as you and your group head to the historic city of Old Mazatlan. Listen as your tour guide shares interesting stories and important facts while you explore this fascinating city. Stand at the Old Spanish Fort for amazing overviews of Mazatlan, then watch daredevils climb 45 feet up the cliffs and wait for the right moment to dive between the rocks into 8-foot-deep waters below.
Wander around Machado Square, check out the central market and visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Step inside this structure built in the late 1800s and take a photo of the Star of David in the top windows; this symbol was added as a "thank you" to a Jewish family who donated money to help with construction. This majestic cathedral has a mix of Gothic and Baroque styles and covers an entire city block.
From here you will head to the docks and board a boat for a scenic ride over to Stone Island. Explore the island on a short horseback ride, a horse cart ride, or jump into one of the many water activities such as kayaking, boogie boarding or a banana boat ride. Take a swim in the crystal clear waters or just relax on the sandy beach with a cocktail or two. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean. While at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was responsible for forming Royal Celebrity Tours, Royal Caribbean's land-based tour operation in Alaska, which takes cruise passengers on multiple day tours through the interior of Alaska either before or after their cruises.
